Pink Dandelion

Not your average backyard dandelion! Pastel pink petals surround the apricot-colored center of this uncommon dandelion. A wildflower from central Asia with the same medicinal and edible properties as our yellow one. The early spring blooms provide an important source of food for our native nectar-seeking insects. Suitable in-ground and container planting. Grows to 12”.

Germination Temperature:Optimum soil temperatures 60-65ºF

Seed Planting Depth: Sow on surface and press into soil, seeds need light to germinate

Starting Indoors:  Start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Provide 60-65ºF soil temperature for germination. Transplant 6-12” apart after the last frost. 

Sowing Outdoors:Direct sow around the last frost or in autumn. Sow a few seeds every 6-12”, thin to the most robust seedling.
